I should mention also that your page reminded me of the song Butterfly Girl by the Nightblooms

Im just starting over after not making websites since I was a kid, and I love what you've done here! do you have any recommendations on how to make original layouts like yours? any programs you use? thank you!! you've done a great job *__*

thank you! i started off with krita (free) to draw my layout but later moved onto aseprite (paid). my layout is centered around an iframe. for coding the navgation, image maps are classic and sufficient, but svg maps are scalable for responsive layouts. you can generate code for either one using this tool: https://n-peugnet.github.io/image-map-creator/ i was thinking about making a tutorial one day, but feel free to ask any more questions along the way!

This is just such a beautiful website. You've got incredible skill when it comes to pixel art, and I love how being here feels like I'm taking a much-needed rest in a quiet woodland hut before continuing my adventure. You've made something quite special. I'm going to be linking you on my own website, if you don't mind.
